The Foundation raises public awareness about representation gaps and works to cultivate appreciation for Latino contributions and experiences. We also serve as an amplifying watchdog, submitting Federal Communications Commision filings and sponsoring legal advocacy all while raising awareness about the causes.

Annual Visibility Awards

We have our finger on the pulse of emerging Hispanic talent. The Foundation mentors, identifies and shines a spotlight on up-and-coming talent and leaders who are advancing Latino representation through our Annual Visibility Awards. Current Visibility Awards include the Horizon Award, the Spotlight Award and the Raúl Juliá Award for Excellence.

Past awardees include Lin-Manual Miranda (Horizon Award), Eva Longoria (Horizon Award) and Sandra Bullock (Raúl Juliá Award for Excellence).

Cultural Engagement

Cultural events play a pivotal role in enhancing Latino visibility by providing platforms for showcasing diverse artistic expressions, fostering a sense of community pride, and challenging stereotypes. The Foundation hosts events, to promote the celebration, understanding and appreciation of Latino cultures promoting inclusivity and empowering individuals to embrace their heritage with confidence.

Audience & Diversity Studies

The Foundation commissions ground-breaking studies on the current state of Latino opportunity and influence in media and entertainment to raise awareness about the progress that still needs to be made. Past reports include The Latino Disconnect and The Latino Media Gap, among others.
