2023 Visioning Summit: Advancing Representation in Media, Arts & Beyond
The 2023 Visioning Summit is the inaugural annual convening for the National Hispanic Foundation for the Arts on September 20, 2023 at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. It aims to:
Bring together leaders from the policy, advocacy and creative communities
Foster new connections and inspire conversations about moving the needle on representation
Celebrate Latino talent and accomplishments in the entertainment industry
By convening a wide array of changemakers and creating opportunities for connections and conversations across government and industries, the Summit aims to break down barriers and pave the way for greater representation.

This panel will critically assess the current state of Latino representation in media, explore the factors contributing to a recent rise in coverage for Latino narratives and stories, and evaluate the impact of representation on broader societal perceptions and narratives surrounding Latino experiences through a multidimensional lens.
Power of Visibility: Examining the State of Latino Representation in Film and Television
This panel will explore and analyze the recent positive strides for Latino representation in the entertainment industry and the factors contributing to persisting disparities like limited opportunities and stereotypical roles – charting the path forward for gaining seats at the table and increasing Latino representation in front of and behind the camera.
